The Nenkashe Fundraising Event was a success despite strong winds threatening to tear away the tents and dark heavy clouds threatening to let go.
Nenkashe partners, friends and family kept streaming in wading through mud and not even the huge political rallies around us could keep them away. Half way through the event, the clouds finally let loose. ‘Blessings’, everyone shouted.’
The Nenkashe girls and boys and some of the parents or guardians were able to attend. Some parents had been forced to move their livestock in search of pasture. Kajiado county is among the many counties hit hard by drought.
